DRAFT. TELEGRAM.

Hong Kong.

Consideration is being

given to the desirability of

enabling Companies registered

in this country to open branch

registers in China either by

extending Sections 34-36 of the

Companies Consolidation Act, 1908,

to China by Order in Council or

by a suitable amendment of the

Hong Kong Companies Ordinance.

A proposal has also been made that

the Hong Kong Ordinance should be

amended so as to enable Chinese

Companies to keep branch registers

outside Hong Kong or China in

places where they carry on no

business
